While fully furnished and equipped with everything that you would want in an ideal room, the difference from the Deluxe Suite is the room’s size. It is a bit smaller. But this does not mean that we have not considered the needs of our valued guests. It is an arrangement to provide you alternatives, based on economy and need.

Is the Hotel an accredited and recognized one?
Yes! Hotel Taktsang is a Three Star rated Hotel, accredited by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB), now the Department of Tourism (DoT). Obtaining accreditation of such a nature is a difficult process in Bhutan, with officials from the DoT personally inspecting everything, beginning from safety to services that star rated hotels should have.
Are the other amenities provided by the Hotel inclusive of the room rents?
Not all are inclusive. You will need to pay separately for laundry, spa and meals. Beverages within the room, such as essentials for tea, coffee and mineral water are compliments.
Can the Hotel arrange travel, guides and other facilities?
The Hotel is one of Bhutan’s few, which also has a tour company, under the name of Bhutan Taktsang Tours and Treks. Thus, we have every facility to cater to our guests who wish to travel to any part of the country.
Do we need to pay any kind of advance while booking rooms? If so, how much and what are the cancellation charges if any?
Yes, kindly contact with reservation to proceed with further details.
Do we need to stay in the rooms that we booked all through? Do we need to pay anything extra while doing so?
Yes, guest will be allowed to stay in your confirmed booked rooms. If guest wants to stay in higher category, will be charged extra.
What is the Hotel’s check-in and check-out time?
While, 12 noon is the check out time, we have special considerations for our guests. You may leave as and when you have to, based on your travel arrangements.
Can the Hotel arrange pick-ups and drops from and to Paro International airport or other destinations?
Yes. We have networks with people working in the Services industry from different parts of the country.
If a guest has health problems and diet restrictions, can you cater to such individuals? For instance, if a guest is diabetic, do you have a standard diet for the guest?
While we do not have a standard diet as such for such cases, guests will just need to intimidate us beforehand and we can accordingly prepare any dish of the choice.
Does the Hotel have a locker, where valuables if any can be kept?
Though we do not have lockers as in banks, you can keep any such valuables with us including money. We will keep it in our safety lockers and bank accounts and you can take it whenever required.
Can we exchange foreign currency in the Hotel and does the Hotel accept foreign currency? If so, what are the rates?
Yes. We accept foreign currencies like the USD, AUD, Euro, Thai Bhat, Indian Rupee and others. We can also provide the Bhutanese Ngultrum for you. The rates are in accordance with those of the banks.
What is the average waiting time after we place orders for dishes?
While it would depend on the type of dish that you order, the waiting time is not more than 30 minutes.
Do you have a special health care window? What would happen if guests fall sick and require medication?
The Hotel as such does not have a professional health care staff. However, the country’s largest and best hospital, the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH) is just a three-minute drive from the hospital, where there is emergency health care services 24×7. Thus, at any time of the day, should our guests require medical attention, they will be taken there without any charges.
Are there designated smoking areas?
Yes, there is designated smoking room. Guest are not allowed to smoke in the room since it is nonsmoking rooms.
